I was never an artist

…at least I didn’t think I was.

Funny thing about life—it changes you. It teaches you. It introduces you to, well… you.

A lifetime of hardship, trauma, and an extreme difficulty in self-expression can show you something, though.

There is beauty EVERYWHERE.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I prefer to think it’s in the eye of the lens holder.

Art is about the ability to show someone the beauty that you find in places they couldn’t see it.

Some people use a paintbrush. I use a camera.

We are all beautiful. We were made that way. My passion is showing that beauty to people who may still be blind to it.

  • If the info above wasn’t enough, here it is—

    I’m a father,

    I’m a veteran (US Army),

    I’m a warrior,

    I’m an artist,

    I’m a poet,

    I’m your photographer

  • Because life is beautiful. Part of the reason life is beautiful is that it is fleeting. To appreciate the moments we do have, they must be limited. Photography helps us to stop those fleeting moments, even if just for a second. To appreciate the beauty of life, it must be precious, so it must be fleeting. Photography helps to preserve that feeling and helps us to define who we are, who we were, and who we want to be.

  • Because I have celebrated more victories and suffered more loss than people have told me is imaginable. My appreciation for the little things in life continues to grow to a level that even I did not know was possible, during a part of my life that seems centuries ago.

Because your memories are worth it. They are important. Because YOU are important, and you should be able to remember that.

  • I use what I have become comfortable with, that I believe is superior, that will allow me to do my job without pushing insane costs to my customers. I have spent years curating my skills, my gear, and my ability to use it.

  • Convince me that it is better and buy it for me as a replacement, then explain to me the nuances of why it is different. Then we’ll talk.
